ELECTRO FORGED STEEL GRATING

Types Of Electro Forged Gratings

" Rectangular Gratings"
Rectangular Gratings
The openings between the steel bars facilitate the passage of light, air, and liquids, while the steel material ensures longevity and resistance to corrosion. Its serrated or textured top surface further enhances safety by reducing the risk of slipping, even in wet or oily conditions. Rectangular steel grating serves as an essential component in many industries, providing a reliable foundation for both people and heavy machinery while maintaining structural integrity and facilitating efficient operations.
Circular Gratings
Circular steel grating is often used in environments where aesthetics and design are as important as functionality. It can be found in various applications, such as outdoor public spaces, parks, and modern architectural designs where the circular pattern enhances the visual appeal. Despite its decorative nature, circular steel grating maintains the essential characteristics of steel grating, including strength, durability, and resistance to corrosion, making it a reliable choice for applications where a combination of form and function is desired.

"Heavy Duty Steel Gratings"
Heavy Duty Steel Gratings
The exceptional load-bearing capacity of heavy-duty steel grating is achieved through its rugged construction, often with thicker and taller bearing bars, as well as robust crossbars. The grating can be further reinforced with welded or swage-locked processes to ensure stability and longevity. Its resistance to corrosion and durability make it a dependable choice for industries that demand a high level of performance and safety. Heavy-duty steel grating is not only known for its strength but also its versatility, as it can be customized to meet specific load requirements and design preferences, making it a critical component in demanding industrial and infrastructure applications.
Stair Tread Steel Gratings
Stair treads steel grating is essential in various applications, including industrial facilities, commercial buildings, public spaces, and construction sites. Its robust steel construction ensures durability and long-term performance, even in challenging environments. Additionally, it can be made from various materials, such as carbon steel or stainless steel, depending on the specific requirements of the application, providing corrosion resistance in harsh conditions. This type of grating is a vital component in safety and accessibility, helping to reduce the risk of accidents on stairs and walkways while maintaining structural integrity.

"Stair Tread Steel Gratings"
Terminology Definition

Serrations
Notches cut in the top surfaces of the load. bearing bars to improve slip resistance.

Noising
Section member serving as the front or the loading edge of a stair tread or the gratings at the head of a stair

Tread
A panel of grating having carriers with or without nosing attached by welding designs specially to serve as stair tread.

Curved Shaping
Part of a cut out which is curved.

Width
The overall dimension of a flooring panel measured at right angles to the load-bearing bars. (This dimension is always referred to as width even if exceeds the length.)

Straight Shaping
Part of a cut out which has straight edges. bars.

Span (Length)
Length or span is the overall dimensions of flooring panel parallel with the load-bearing bar.

Cut Out
An area of flooring removed to permit pipes, plant and structural columns to pass through or to clear obstructions.

Curb Angle
A member fixed to concrete or supporting steelwork at the perimeter of a flooring area

Band / Frame Bar
A flat bar welded to a side end of gratings panel along the line of a cut out and extending neither above nor below the bearing bars

Erection Clearance
The space provided between the edges of a flooring panel and the adjacent structure, or between flooring panels, to facilitate erection

Carrier / End Plate
A plate fixed to a stair tread for fixing to a stringer

Load Bearing Member
A longitudinal load-carrying member of uniform section spanning between supports

Toe Plate (Kicking Plate)
A flat bar around a cut-out of a flooring panel projecting above the top of the load-bearing bars.

Net Area
The area of flooring remaining after deducting cut-outs. (AxB-CxD)

Pitch
The distance measured from centre to centre of load-bearing bars or from centre to centre of
transverse bars

Gross Area
The total area of flooring including
wastage/ Cut-out area
(A x 8)

Grating
An open rigid assembly of metal bars where the bearing bars (main member) running in one direction are crossed by cross bars running at right angle to bearing bars.
